MLMT 230:  The Magic Pill That Make Difficult Work Disappear

MLM Trigger Episode #230

We talked about how to craft a Successful Traffic Strategy and today what is the difference between outsourcing and Do It Yourself.

As entrepreneurs, time is our most valuable asset. Every moment spent on a task that distract us from what we should be doing with our core business is LOST FOREVER.

One of the biggest lessons we can learn as an entrepreneur is how to outsource strategically. This process is less about the capabilities to delegate and more about our own shortcomings.

Outsourcing can significantly boost your marketing efforts by allowing you to delegate tasks and focus on your core competencies. It's all about choosing the right tasks to outsource and the right partners to outsource to.

As a new network marketer you can’t expect to be an expert on every single aspect of your MLM business. If you lack marketing expertise for example you should consider hired someone who is good at it in the first place.

With technology enabling us to connect and work with talent from anywhere in the world, outsourcing has grown significantly. Many opt to hire freelancers for a more cost-effective way of accomplishing their tasks. It’s time to outsource the work you don’t need to do and focus on getting done what really matters.

Strategies to decide to outsource or not and your answer should be based on performing a cost-versus-time calculation analysis.

1-If you have the required skills and expertise to do it
2-If you want and have the time to do it
3-If you can afford to do it yourself
4-If there is a security risk by outsourcing it

Here are some benefits to outsourcing:

•You draw from a larger talent pool— Outsourcing (and remote working in general) allows companies to draw from the largest pool of talent there in – the internet. If someone can connect to the internet, they can be hired someone halfway across the world to do that one task they are an expert at.

•Lower costs— Depending on where you outsource to, you could save a lot of money by outsourcing where the pay is lower. For example, a VA in the Philippines earns 1/3 of one in the US.

•Ready access to more specialized workers— Outsourcing is key to completing the tasks you have no idea how to do. Successful entrepreneur knows how and when to delegate by bringing in the talent they need for specific tasks.

•Lets you access better technology— This goes hand-in-hand with access to more specialized workers – if you outsource to a designer, you’ll probably also gain access to a graphics tablet, Photoshop and more in the process.

•They work when you can’t— By outsourcing to an overseas party you can effectively cover several time zones without having to stay up all night to finish the task.

•It frees up your time— Outsourcing tasks frees up time for you to spend on important work, like the bigger picture of how your MLM business should improve and grow.

As entrepreneurs, we live and die by our decisions and we can’t reject costs without looking at the full context. Even when our emotional instincts tell us to “do it cheaply” we need to think with our heads. While it’s not quite the magic pill that many have taken since the release of the 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss.

Looking at outsourcing can hand off all of the work you don’t need to do and regain focus on what really matters.

A mentor once told me that it’s always better to focus on making more money than penny pinching.

The top producers in MLM don't make a list of 200 people, don't do home meetings or anything like that. They use something equivalent of a sales funnels.
