MLMT 197: The KEY To Conversions
MLM Trigger Episode #197
We talked about the strategy for beginners to create a lead magnet. And today let’s get a better understanding of what is a Landing Page is and why you need one.
It comes as no surprise that a lot of people who are new to the online marketing space get confused by the thousands of terms that get thrown around on a daily basis by internet marketers.
What is a landing page? The simple definition of a landing page is the first page someone “lands” on when they visit a website. It is stand alone page, specifically made for marketing campaigns with a single goal.
The focus generally is being to convert someone into a LEAD by making a sale or subscribe to a newsletter or even register for an event. There is always a specific conversion goal or there is no point in having a landing page to begin with.

No matter what the conversion metric is, a landing page always has certain features… There’s a handful of features that have to be in place for your landing page to be successful.
Create An Outstanding Headline— The headline is what people notice first. So, it should be eye-catching and attention grabbing to sell them on reading the rest of your landing page. Why? A good headline is what will convince your visitors to fill in their email address so they can find out more about the product or service you are offering them.
Use The Right Video Or Image— In order to decide if you should choose an image or a video for your landing page, you should first consider your product. If your product is informative, you should choose a video because it will be easier for the visitor to digest all the information. However, if your product is more emotional in nature and not as informational, then an image might work better for you.
Build An Enticing Offer— No matter what your goal is, the offer you should be something that is compelling and attractive to a potential visitor. Even if you are just wanting to collect someone’s email address you still need to give them value in return for that information. It’s always best if your offer includes free downloads or bonuses just for filling in their email address. This will make them give out more of their personal information which can increase in sign-ups.
Build The Perfect Call To Action (CTA)— Your goal when crafting a CTA button is to make sure it’s a compelling offer that will motivate people to subscribe now. This is what will motivate people even more to give their email address and subscribe to your list.
You have to tell people what they need to do in order to take advantage of the offer you’re making. Your call to action tells them exactly what to do next to get the offer. Even if it’s as simple as clicking a button to get to the next page in the process. You can also mention if there are any exclusive deals available only for those who sign up today. This way you can create urgency among potential customers.
What’s the difference between a landing page and a website homepage? To an internet marketer the definition of a landing page doesn’t include something like a homepage. The main reason this is because a homepage of a website usually has multiple links and places to go.
For example: You could go to a product page, a page of different product collections and maybe an about page. Simply because there are multiple different links to click, the conversion rate of the page decreases significantly.
Landing pages can be a lead generation or can be a click through.
Lead generation landing pages focus on getting visitors to put some kind of information in on the page like an email address or a phone number.
Click through landing pages function like a sales page and focus on getting visitors to click through to another page like a checkout. These types of pages are mostly used in the e-commerce space to increase the conversion rates from a sales page.
There are so many variations of landing pages but to keep it simple we are going to just talk about the SQUEEZE PAGE. A squeeze page is a single-page website that offers visitors an opt-in form to join your email list. These pages are usually used as lead generation tools for building or growing an email list. A squeeze page is not a sales page. It should be short and sweet with the most important aspects of your product or service, laid out clearly on what you want them to do next.
Removing all distractions is essential when you have created your squeeze page. You should keep it as simple and compelling as possible. This means you shouldn’t have links to other pages or blogs on the same page as the CTA button.
Squeeze pages are valuable to any network marketer because they allow you to get people’s contact information. This way you can build relationships with your potential leads before asking them a sale or subscription request. So, not only you can build a relationship with your visitors, but you can increase your business conversion too.
Since creating a squeeze page is not as hard as it may sound, you should consider using one for your business. It will help with increasing your conversion rates and provide more opportunities to engage your prospects.
