We talked about the difference between outsourcing and Do It Yourself and today we are going to talk about WHY it’s important to produce the right content.

Content plays a critical role in driving traffic. Not just any content, but high-quality, engaging and value-adding content tailored to your audience's needs and interests.

Remember, that you need to target and speak to a specific audience so that your message makes sense to them. If you’re trying to sell beef to a vegetarian, you’re mixing up your audience.

Content marketing is a marketing strategy used to attract, engage and retain an audience by creating and sharing relevant articles, videos, podcasts and other media. This approach establishes expertise, promotes brand awareness and keeps your business top of mind when it’s time to buy what you sell. It means that you should focus on putting out good content frequently and consistently.

When you have the kind of content, that resonate with your target audience you will be able to generate new sales and new leads. The more people that can find you, the more they will value your opinion and you will become an authority figure.

You’ll be able to add value to the product or service you offer and probably get a big following. And the beautiful thing is, as long as the value they receive is more than what they pay for… you will get repeat customer. Traffic gets you sales and followers.

But you don’t magically get traffic. You need content to get traffic. Nobody will follow you if you don’t post anything.

Whoever controls content, also controls beliefs and controls the industry. If no one hears you speak, then no one knows you exist. That’s why content is so powerful. If no one knows your message, you really don’t have a presence – and it has a direct impact on your wallet…

The consistent use of content marketing establishes and nurtures relationships with your prospective and existing customers. When your audience thinks of your valuable advice and guidance, they’re more likely to choose you when it’s time to buy. You’ll need to deliver the right content at each stage of the sales cycle—from awareness through consideration to purchase.

So the first thing you want to focus on is to plan and build a CONTENT MACHINE. Setting up systems and getting the process in place…

It’s important to know is that each platform has a different context and a type of content. It’s native to that platform and design for the users to enjoy connecting with it. There are many ways to distribute content… like social media platforms which are an effective way to drive traffic and reach a larger audience.

Let’s say for example:

—Facebook users like to be entertained

—Podcast listeners are usually on the go

—Blog readers like posts with structured information

—YouTube users like to be distracted, entertained and are searching for “how to video”.

Create a plan for Content Creation. Did you know that the main reason people fail to publish on a regular schedule, is that they don't have a clear plan for the content they're going to create.

Whether you create a blog for your MLM site, post helpful tutorials on YouTube or write guides… you want to use content marketing to grow you brand.

Don’t forget that your main goal is to produce valuable and relevant content that supports your marketing goals and drives engagement with customers and build relationships with potential leads.

It’s time to make the shift from a consumer to a producer. It’s okay to consume and learn from others. But when you teach, you learn it twice. You will learn so much from producing content when you teach it. So start producing content today!
