Success in business comes down to one main thing—finding a problem someone has and then— getting them to pay you to solve it for them. Yes that’s it. Prospecting is the first step in the sales cycle, is the process of identifying and connecting with potential customers. Prospecting isn’t optional if you want to be successful in network marketing.
The key is to win your prospects’ trust. You may be thinking HOW… by providing value in sharing helpful content and focusing on educating them rather than selling.
What’s the difference between leads and prospects?
A lead is someone who has expressed interest in your MLM products. They may have discovered your blog or downloaded an ebook. In contrast, a prospect is a qualified lead because it’s a good fit for your product. It is a potential buyer who fits your ideal customer profile meaning a qualified prospect.
The next step is to identify the channels you’ll use to contact your qualified prospect. It’s important to meet your buyers where they are. Why? Because even if you craft a compelling offer, there’s no guarantee that a prospect will see it. Take a multi-channel approach to increase your chances of connecting with prospects. This will also help you capture more of your target market.
How can you ensure that you’re targeting and focusing on the right prospects?
1- Define your audience
2- Tailor your email subject line to your prospect and keep it casual
3- Make prospecting a habit
4- Track the prospects that say no and the reasons for doing so
5- Build an online system to get leads/prospects
How do you do online MLM prospecting?
You can talk to people on social media, build a blog and run paid ads. The best way to get unlimited leads is to build an online marketing funnel. This is a system where you attract people to your offer and then convert them into customers or team members. You need to differentiate yourself and be original from your up-line. Paid advertising separate the serious prospects to one who are not.
There are 2 types of funnels for your PAID advertising.
Those who use the products and those who join the business opportunity.
It’s easier to focus on people interested in the products because when you show them how your products can help them solve their problems and meet their needs... you turn them into product lovers. And they could get excited about using the opportunity side to gain an extra income as well.
A bit of advice: Don’t bite off more than you can chew. What will make you the greatest LEADER in the world is to only work with people you genuinely can help AND those who you like.
