MLMT 173: Promote Your Offer While Developing Relationships

MLM Trigger Episode #173

We talked about how to use emails marketing to convert your prospect into customers or associates. Today let’s talk about the philosophy behind email marketing and how to leverage it when someone join your email list.

Email marketing is a valuable tool because it allows you to communicate directly with people who have explicitly stated that they want to hear what you have to say. The ultimate secret to email marketing is to send good content to people who have asked to receive it.

So, how do you know that my emails are relevant?

Well, the content should look nice, can be view on various devices, it should be engaging and have a call to action. The reality is, short plain text emails with a simple link do far better than flashy ones with multiple calls to action.

More importantly, figuring out what you want to share and why it’s relevant.

What part of your email is going to be helpful to the person reading it?

If you are promoting your product or service and thinking to make a sale… there’s a good chance that people won’t engage. Don’t blame the marketing tactic—learn to use it to your advantage.

How to analyze what content your audience is looking for and how to best reach them? Autoresponders are the best way to reach your audience who is looking for what you have to offer. You can get amazing results with the right structure for your MLM sales funnel.

Email marketing has some significant advantages and here is why:

High reach: When people join your email list (subscribe or “opt in”), you can reach them. Sure not everyone opens your emails, but the numbers are really in favor of email marketing compared to other similar marketing tactics.

Great flexibility: Email marketing can work for every MLM business. It doesn’t matter whether you sell a health product, financial advice or consulting. And you can promote practically anything relating to your business—you aren’t limited to sending links to your sales pages.

Minimal risk: With email marketing, the costs are much lower. A simple email marketing software like Groove is free until you reach a certain number of contacts and then it’s still very affordable.

Low barrier of entry: The learning curve of email marketing isn’t nearly as hard as with many other tactics. Even if you’re not an expert, even if you make mistakes you aren’t wasting your time, you can still see great results.

Full control: Most other marketing tactics are at the mercy of policy changes like Google and other decisions beyond your control. And even when the laws change, they hardly ever change on how you can do email marketing.

Offer (sales) via emails marketing

Regardless of what kind of a MLM business you are involved, you should make offers in your emails. The basic idea is to urge people to get something they really want—and get it now. A good offer doesn’t feel sales-y. It doesn’t feel pushy. It doesn’t feel manipulative. Instead, a good offer feels helpful. And it is something what the customer actually wants.

Make your offers that feel relevant. If you offer people something they don’t think is relevant for them, they will think you don’t know them or understand their situation. Focus on describing their problems, how they’ll use your product or service, and what results they will have in the end.

Give people a way to avoid more emails about the same offer. Give people the option to avoid future emails about your offer. Just add a link to the end of the emails “If you’re sure you’re not interested in [ offer ] click here and I won’t send you any more emails about it.” That way you won’t annoy people who aren’t interested in your offer now and they won’t unsubscribe to your list.

Don’t talk down to people. Don’t tell people, “Not buying this product would be idiotic!” or “Only a fool doesn’t understand the value in this service.” This whole email marketing strategy relies on you making people understand the value they can get from you. And sometimes that means making people see the downside of not buying. You can do that in a friendly, respectful way.

Be clear about what people can get and how to get it. This is the backbone of email marketing strategy. Tell people about the benefits they can get and make sure those benefits come out clearly.

Bloggers are focusing on this email marketing strategy almost exclusively. They create a piece of content a report, infographic, video, or blog article and tell people about it with an email. This content is given in exchange for the visitor informations.

The simplest way is by using an email opt-in form that requires people to join the list in order to get the free content. It gives you a better chance to convert them into customers. You want people to see you as a trusted source, which makes them more likely to buy from you. Your goal is to make an offer—and build relationships with the people in your list.

Remember that the primary reason for sending emails is to build relationships with your list. You want to make some irresistible offers and provide useful content.

People buy from people they like and trust. And that means building a relationship with them.

You can do a little bit of it in every email you send. You’re not a company. You’re a person. Write emails like one. Share some personal stuff—it’s hard to relate to someone who shows nothing of themselves. You will be able to serve your audience and introduce the facets of your Attractive Character… They will love you and become your loyal customers
